Hey Guys,

I finally have the engine off of the stand and on the K-member on the jig. I'm running a 1969 340 and wanted to make sure that the crank was the right depth. I'm sure It's correct but I guess I just wanted confirmation. I'm showing 2.571" to the farthest outer ring of the crank. I do have the larger pilot bushing for the crank. Is my depth good? Thanks

Dave

You can always put the bell on the trans and using a straight edge, measure where the Snout is; also mock it up to the engine without disc or pressure plate.

you'll be fine - the locating pilot portion of the Tremec trans is very short - your crank depth is perfectly find while using the needle bearing
