Thank you, I thought that might be the case. Although the part number listed is for 15X7 trim rings they actually fit the 15X6.5 wheels.

The 15 x 6.5” rings are 2.5” and the 15 X 7 gets the 2.75” ring.
I just tried to put a 2.75” ring on a 6.5” wheel and it bottomed out before seating.

Here are some original 15X7 and 15X6.5 trim rings I have with a tape measure. Sorry they are not the best quality but the tape shows the 15X7 trim ring is 3" deep. Can you take a similar photo with your rings and a tape measure. Perhaps they are the same and you are taking a different measurement .
In the photo of the 15X6.5 the 15X7 ring is beside it showing the difference in height.

You’re absolutely correct, now if I could just figure out what happened the day I had a ring that seem to be more like two and three-quarter that was bottoming out on a 15 x 6 1/2. Maybe that one ring was bent in such a way that made it appear that way? Anyway I have no less than six 15 x 6 1/2” trim rings and a full set of reproduction 15 x 7 which are 3 inches deep.
The main problem is is I only have 2 15 x 6 1/2 wheels and one 15 x 7....

Can you post a photo of the back of the reproduction 15X7 rings?
Please confirm the 6 15X6.5 Rings are polished. Are they the ones in the factory packaging?

All 6 of my 15 x 6.5 are used and I’d be happy to take a picture of the repops but you realize I’m not the guy that started this thread, right?

I also have a set of four of the 15 X 6 1/2 trim rings I bought in the early 1980's still in the Mopar boxes. I have the factory 15X7 rallye wheels and bought them, thinking they were correct for my car. Was very disappointed a few years back when I finally pulled them out of storage and noticed the difference. Oh WELL.
