Is this what you want to know? Here are examples where and how it goes. I don't think I seen one upside down but you never know. By the way I put them on a magnetic sheet, so I could place them how I want to. Also protects the paint when someone thinks they like them better then me. Same as the fender tag.

Great idea!! How does one get those stickers magnetized? Was thinking of getting the gran coupe emblem magnetized

I bought a sheet of it on ebay. The sheet and the sticker are both sticky. I place it on there the best I can on the sheet and then trim around the decal. 10 Thick Magnet Sheets, 8.5" x 11" inch, art project SELF ADHESIVE | eBay
There are a lot of choices out there. I only got 1 sheet about 11x8.5? and that was enough.
