Directional indicators staying slightly lit.

Re-installing the gauge cluster and switches after dash pad replacement and ran into a problem. With headlights or parking lights on the left and right turn signal indicator bulbs are glowing slightly in the dash. All the lights works and the indicators blink properly when the directionals are in use....it's just they are slightly lit when the directionals are not being used and just the parking lights are on. Could this be a bulb issue somewhere?? Kind of confused since all that was touched was unplugging the cluster and switches.

Tried additional grounds but that didn't change anything.

Thoughts or ideas on where to go next please.

I would consult the factory service manual (FSM) wiring for the dash. I did have some funky electrical things happening when I did not have the light switch assembly grounded properly. Once the assembly was grounded well my problems went away. Most importantly use the FSM. I spent 4 months rewiring my car and that was a real life saver.

Start with this. One of the light sockets or a wire is grounding out. Unplug all sockets front and rear. Observe the condition as you disconnect each one,there might be more than one.

I checked all the grounds..all good. I pulled out the front directional bulbs and the problem went away.....I had converted to LED about 5 years ago without issues--until now. Replaced with regular 1157's and all good.

Weird that the LED's waited years to cause an issue........

If you have a front park and turn signal light that glows dim.
The bulb is in backwards or not quite locked in. The socket is shorting out. Sometimes you really have look at it to see it.

That wasn't it. Tried it different ways and it only goes in that one way. It works fine for years. Now I'm gonna kill myself questioning it.I'm just thankful.It's fixed.

In a perfect world. Sockets not rusted or inner parts not bad. Check the socket connections inside and plastic insulator. Look and see! I fixed this one.
