Taking this cold weather to clean up the trim in the door panels. A couple of clips have come off. Two questions do those clips glue on, or are they heated on? Does anyone have a few extra clips?

oooh, good question. I've got no idea. Sorry.

Did the ammonia-water work out? How are they cleaning up?

use your fingernail and see if the rectangle is raised on the back of the trim. If it is, I vote it was glued. If not, it was heat.

They are cleaning up better than I expected. The clips look like they were melted into the plastic, but want to make sure.

Since we have better glues than they had 50+ years ago, I vote for some type of two part epoxy. Something that works on metal and plastic.

Following along.

Those door panel inserts look black. I have only seen wood grain and red ones.

Sure wish these were reproduced.

The lighting is bad. They are wood grain. Sure would be a lot easier if they reproduced them. Cleaning 50 year old nicotine, and THC off them is not easy. lol
