E Body - Mopar cars you have - HAD 1960s - 1970s

Some of us may have that One Mopar car!
Others have more than one.

Over the years, Im sure most of us have had many.

Almost too many to count...

Back in 2005-ish, I delivered a car to a guy out of state in Johnson City, Tn
I had no idea that one person would have so-ooo many Mopar cars in one place.
He had what looked like a car dealership that had a few - couple dozen high dollar types.
Cuda, Challenger, Charger, Road runner, GTX, probably all that were made?

Talk about Wow factor -
I did not take pictures - camera had no battery life.

I've had a few back in the day, had a '70 Barracuda, was my first car when I was 15, bought it for $100! [318 3 spd, ran great]. Then I had a nice '74 340 Cuda in the late 70's. Then a '72 Roadrunner, 400 Auto, got a lot of tickets and lost my license, sold it and bought a slow F-150 4x4...HA!

Nowadays, we have a '73 Challenger 440 and just bought a '73 Cuda 440, I'm psyched to have a Cuda again!

I've had a 58 Fury, 350 2 4bbls., 68 Road Runner, 4spd, 383, 71 340 Duster, 72 Duster 6 cyl, 75 Cordoba 400, 75 Fury wagon 318, 76 Volare 6, 77 Cordoba 400, 83 Town & Country 2.2, & 05 Ram 1500, 5.7, 2010 Challenger SRT, 71 Cuda Gen 2 Hemi and a 74 Duster 318. I switched to Honda's now for new cars because of the dependability. My 80 Civic I bought new was the first car I didn't go back to the dealer with a list of things wrong. 9 of my cars were new and 2 used, the 58 Fury, great car and the 75 Wagon.

First car - a 72 Cuda (340 powered), then a 318 powered 72 Barracuda (swapped in a 340 from car #3), number 3 was a 71 340 Roadrunner (the 340 was swapped into), four was a 1978 Power Wagon 4x4 (360-4spd), then followed by another 72 340 Barracuda (no motor, but swapped in a 440) followed by (not necessarily in this order) a 67 Dart, a 74 Dart, a 71 Duster, 72 Dart, 67 Belvedere, 72 New Yorker, 73 Imperial, 1974 Challenger, 93 Ramcharger, 98 Ram 1 ton (Cummins 24V), 07 Pacifica, 07 Chrysler Aspen, 02 Chrysler Sebring, 07 Caliber, 15 Challenger, 18 Ram 1500, 16 Dart
Let's see thats (4) E-bodies, (4) A-bodies (2) B-bodies, a couple C- bodies, (3) trucks, (3) SUV's and a few misc Mopars mixed in...

I've been through a bunch, of many makes. My 59 and 60 D100 trucks were great and my '68 Sport Fury is one I'd love to replace. Lots of 59-74 Fords and Lincolns and Mercury's over the years, couple of Cadillacs and a beat up old Porsche. Down to just a 72 Challenger, 65 Barracuda, 96 Bronco, and 23 Ram now. Although I'm always on the lookout for a nicely patina'd not rusted out 50-74 something or other I can stuff a big motor in and make tire smoke somewhat safely and not have to worry about scratching the paint.

starting in the early 1980s:
a 1968 440 new yorker, every panel bashed up, still got the motor, went to the crusher,
a 1970 318 barracuda in blue with holley carb, still got the front upper valance,
a 1970 318-2 barracuda convertible in red and bashed up quarter panels, spun rod bearing, sold to restorer,
a 1970 factory big block in original paint, no accidents, connecting rod hole in block, still got the car,
a 1970 318 barracuda gran coupe in maroon, still got the dash pad, went to the crusher,
a 1972 318 barracuda in green, never ran, went to the crusher,
a 1971 318 barracuda in brown with luggage rack, still got the deck lid and luggage rack, traded for something stupid,
a 1973 192 slant-6 in primer grey, blown head gasket, never ran, went to the crusher,
a 1970 318 barracuda in brown, factory 727 trans, 26-inch radiator, and 8-3/4 rear end, flipped for profit
a 1971 340 barracuda 3-speed in yellow, still got the rallye wheels,
a 1971 383 'Cuda in hemi orange and billboard stripes, sold for profit,
a 1970 440-6 convertible, in plum crazy purple and white interior, no engine, stripped of dash, interior, sold for profit,
a 1972 318 barracuda in primer, went to the crusher.
a 1989 plymouth voyager minivan in brown, went to the crusher,

got married, became family guy, from then it was mercedes wagons and minivans.
loved the plymouth voyager minivans for a long time.

Only had a couple. Oddly, the one I miss was my '79 Magnum with this same black/silver 2 tone paint scheme, 360 4bbl. Disconnected the lean burn and installed an MSD 6a box that woke it up a bit more

We did this several years ago one day at work during lunch. We all wrote down how many vehicles we have owned in our lifetime. I was in the 70 something then. All Mopars. Almost all Dodges, a several Plymouths and a few Chryslers. Added several more Mopars to the count since.

If I count right, I'm at 42. Lots of years left to buy more though!
