Early seventies 4 speed ID

I acquired a 4 speed today from An old friend, he had a 72 Challenger with a 340 4 speed(no idea if any of it was original). He bought it 30 years ago from a wrecker in KC. I will post the numbers and I would appreciate any help with the ID. I know I could look it up but I am sure at least someone here likes investigating mysteries as much as I do. Ps it looks like it has brand new 2nd and 3rd gears and all new synchros.

4644 is a 10,000 day calendar date and is April 15, 1974.
PP 833 is a New Process 833 transmission.
That trans is probably a factory replacement as there is no partial VIN stamped.

It's weird. This has a 5+ inch diameter cone, which is supposed to indicate O/D trans, and small input bearing, but it is clearly not a O/D. It has A-body short tail shaft. 23 spline. 3.09/1.92 /1.40/1. He bought this 30 years ago from a wrecker, to fit his 72 Challenger. I see that junk yard matching efficiency has not improved much over the last 30 years. lol.
