Factory primer color on a 74?

Hey all, it's been mentioned before that according to my fender tag, my 74 Barracuda was Frost Green. I removed the door panel to do some work, and it's clearly yellow. Was this a typical color used either for priming or some sort of base coat, or was the car painted yellow at some point? I thought of the possibility that the door had been a replacement, but I can see yellow underneath many other parts of the car. I can also see evidence of the Frost Green on the frame rails -- it's a very pretty color.

Thanks in advance for any input. I'm not sure what I'll do with the info once I get it, I'm really just trying to learn the history of this old gal since she's a new addition to the family.

I don't think that's primer. I believe your car was yellow at some point in it's life.

That’s kinda what I was thinking. It’s too glossy to be primer.

More than likely a replacement door from an original yellow car as the clips and hardware have no paint on them.

That was a thought, but as I said in the post there are multiple other locations I’ve seen yellow on the car.
