i am anxious to get my car running but i'm still tracking down a dipstick/filler tube for my 727 transmission. can i just plug the filler tube hole with something in the meantime so i can drive my car? i plan to change to a manual anyway so i'm looking for short term solution.

thanks for the feedback

You know the filler tubes and dipsticks are reproduced, right? Let me know if you’re interested in buying new, I can hook you up. Big block or small?

the fluid level is higher than the opening in the trans so you will have to somehow get the fluid higher than the trans body before inserting the plug otherwise you will under fill & liely damage the trans !
