Front End Ride Height - 1970 Challenger

Hi, The front end of my Challenger sits up too high, I have 215/60R15 tires up front. The measurement from the ground up past the center of the front wheels to the bottom of the fender lip is 26 1/2". I talked to a guy at Carlisle whose Challenger front ride height was 25 3/4", it looked a lot better. Is there a factory recommended ride height? What ride height do you prefer for the front end?

There is a factory measurement in the service manual for adjusting the torsion bars.

Just something to note - if you alter the ride height it will change the wheel alignment spec slightly.

The Factory Service Manual is always based on factory installed parts. Ride height and all alignment specs are based on factory rim and tire. Factory curb weight. Nothing to do with how it "looks " and is always measured under the car at the lower suspension points. Many people measure the fender lips or what ever. But only the suspension is the true number for alignment purposes.

Running 225/50/17 on the front
measurement as you did is 23 -1/4
running 255/50/17 rear measurement is 23-1/2

According to a tire size calculator my front tires are actually about 3/4 taller than your 215's
not sure any of this is helpful
my car rides fairly smooth and corners very flat (alignment is great)
I do have some after market suspension parts (Saved all of the original)
rear springs ,front torsion bars ,shocks etc
I prefer the look of the lower ride height
But Honestly I have only seen one challenger that I didn't like(someone stuck what looks like a safari station wagon roof section on the rear, very bizarre)

Been looking up specifications on the web
Most sites list the overall car height as 51-1/2 inches to top of roof highpoint, a couple sites listed 52 inches
I very carefully measured my car and it is 51-3/8 , don't know if that's good or bad, but I like it
