Hello,

Im looking to install a return line on my 73 challenger. Was a factory 318, currently running a 440. Have a sniper 2 installed so I'd like to get a regulated return line going. Right now I only have the stock 2 hard lines for fuel and vapor to the cannister. Can I hijack the vapor line or run a new line back to one of the other tank nipples? What would your recommendation be? Thanks

Many of the 1973 cars have two lines running from the fuel tank. The primary fuel (pickup) line from the sending unit with one fitting, and the vapor line on the N95/ECS vapor separator assembly feeding into the crankcase of the engine. A third line was found on (for example) 1970 440 and 426 cars, where the OEM fuel sending unit has two fittings on it, one is the pickup, the other is the fuel return. These big block cars came with a fuel/vapor separator located just past the mechanical fuel pump, and fed back into the tank using that third line.

To emulate that same setup, you may want the pickup that has the fuel return fitting on it. You could fabricate your own return line, or buy a reproduction of the factory 440/426 return line. It ran in parallel to the fuel line and routed to the fuel pump along the frame rail.

they sell fuel line kits for the 440 cars they have three lines you will also need 440 fuel pump 440 pick up for the tank 440 air fuel separator and the steel line coming out of the fuel pump it has a real tight bend all that eliminated my vapor lock problem all found on flea bay
