Gear Vendors and slapstick?

Im considering a gear vendors unit for my big block 727. My question is will this work with my slapstick?

Gear splitting is done with a separate controller.

I have 1 on my TA gear splitting has never really worked mainly for the over drive drops my revs about 4 too 500 at 50 MPH
Very smooth need to use the right oil.

Thanks guys. I am weighing the pros and cons of this verses a Tremec 5 speed. I have 3:54s now and I want more grunt on takeoff but enjoy cruising at 60 too. Considering a lower gear ratio and adding overdrive. Tremec is probably more than I want to spend but I would love it.
