There is an A34 code; an A62 code. Turn the tag over. Sometimes it is easier to read. What does the pencil rubbing look like? You X'd it out. Post a pic without the X's. It's a good chance that it is the A62 code for the Rallye gauges.

I saw it before it was deleted and it didn't look to me as though he X'd it out, it looked like code AXX. Anyway, I wonder why he felt the need to delete the post?

Maybe it wasn't his tag. Who knows. When I saw the pic he had added yellow X's over the numbers after the A. I sent you a PM.

I would say he was covering. He also covered part of the VIN. It was a 71 R/T VIN. I tokk it that he had a rusty tag and was trying to figure out the code. He said it started with an A. A 62 was missing from the tag for the Rallye Guages. The space was in the correct location for the code. I almost copied the pencil rubbing and saved it. I have several suspicious ones saved. It is amazing what comes up again. Barry Washington has a large amount of info on suspicious tags and VIN.
