How difficult is it to put a new heater core in a 1974 Cuda 360 with AC I heard that the AC cars are more difficult ??

They are difficult , the AC box is much bigger requiring the dash fram to be moved to access the heater box

Since you have to deal with the AC portion of the assembly, yes it makes it more difficult. Based on it's location, I'd say the older you are, the harder it is to get in the positions needed to drop it. Good luck, it's doable. Take your time.

Think young. You'll only feel it latter.

I removed them without messing with the dash, with no damage. But that was before I knew better. Just a little more bulkier.

I just finished installing one in my '73 challenger with AC. I removed the dash then the heater/AC box. I'm 71 it took a little work, but worth it. I also bought a insulation kit from" Detroit Muscle Technolgies'. Well worth the money.

I would like to add that removing the dash is a job in itself.

I am looking at replacing the heater core on my 73 Cuda not AC. In reading other posts about it is seems like 3 fan motor bolts 2 vent door
connections and Fan Motor. Has anyone else replace one without AC? it that all there is? Also do you think replacing the air box parts are necessary if you have take one apart? Thanks for any future response.

J hook to vent also. When installing the 3 nuts are the ground.
