Happy New Year first of all, getting ready to install new gas tank and filler neck in 73 Challenger. I was thinking the filler neck needs to go through gromet and then install tank. After several attempts and talking to myself. Didnt get anywhere, there has to be a way that someone out there can school me on this. I couldnt get filler neck into gromet, i had to walk away, before getting upset. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

It's tight, put grommet in tank first, lube up the tube with some KY or vasonline and slide it in.
That's what she said, saved someone else from saying it.....:)

Yea, just don't bolt the filler neck to the panel yet(last step.) You'll have to have a buddy under the tank pushing up while you wrestle the tube down into the grommet. It ain't fun.
