Looking to buy my first E-Body. Found a car that was stripped to be blasted and primed, so dash is completely out. Where do I start? Is there a manual or guide to follow?

If I have to farm this out, what is an expected price to have a dash (already have the parts) installed?

Thanks for any info.

I would start with the factory service manual. You can buy an original book or buy a CD of the book and print the pages you need when you are working on the car. What type of Ebody is it? What is the condition? Is it worth the effort?

You should not have to farm out the dash install. Get a service manual as suggested. A parts manual has good pictures and comes in handy, too. Get the CD versions.
Assemble the dash on the bench. There are 2 lower bolts by the door jambs. Rest the dash on those and then flip it up into place. Install the top bolts at the base of the windshield in the vent ducts. Slightly easier if the windshield is not in place and a buddy helps. Then hook up the electrics, vent cables, steering column, etc. Not hard.

The above post is correct. Once the dash is assembled, the install is very easy. 6 bolts and that's it. Just make sure the two steering column studs are removed first. If the studs are inplace, you won't be able to swing the dash up into place.
