Hello Everyone, I have a 1971 triple black Cuda and a 1970 Green Challenger R/T SE which are both being restored and I have some questions: has any of you got a picture of the Cuda's seats? Mine has trim code H6X9 but since I have to get the seat covers I'd like to get the right ones, if anyone has a picture or some info I'd appreciate it. Also, I just had the Challenger painted in it's original FF4 code green but I'm not sure if I have to paint the dash metal structure the same color as the car or black like the interior. There's also the fact that the Challenger has the code V1F full vinyl top, color green, and I can't seem to find one online to buy, can any of you please help me? Thank you in advance to anyone who'll answer.

I've a 1970 FF4 R/T Convertible and mine had the dark metallic green interior throughout however it was a late year special order and came with the 71 interior color #452. Literature will tell you yours is probably #434. Seems the metal parts of the dash were painted to match which ever the vinyl color was used.

Here is a pic of the standard 71 Cuda interior from a hemi-cuda

Legendary probably has the best quality reproduction interiors
Legendary Auto Interiors - The Interior Specialists Since 1985

Some companies are marketing cheaper copies

On the 70 Challenger RT, the green interior would have green colored dash pad, with the metal frame painted, and steering column in a subdued green color.

Regarding a green vinyl top- Legendary sells a green top cut for a Challenger and Cuda.

Good luck with the restorations of your cars.

Awesome! What about the vinyl top? Anyone got any source? I also found only one picture of a Challenger with the green vinyl top, do you know where can I find one?

I had a 70 B-5 blue Cuda with a totally blue interior. The dash frame and steering column were painted blue. Can you not tell what colors they were by looking at your dash frame, ash tray, and steering column?

My guess is a black interior had a black dash frame and steering column.

On a red/blue interior e-bodies the steering column color would be based on the gauges. Standard gauges got black, rally got interior color. Does it not work that way for green interiors?

Guys, unless I am reading it wrong, his Challenger does not have a green interior. It's a black interior so the dash frame and steering column should also be black.

That's what I read as well moparlee - black interior so definitely dash frame and column should be black.

The thread had expanded beyond the original post. Just pointing out the steering column difference for others.
