For those that have converted to Terminator X EFI, where did you mount the ECU? Seems like there is not a lot of room under an E body dash especially since I am going to have A/C. Frankly, the Holley provided wiring in useless - it's bulky and has connections in seemingly random places so I've pretty much resigned myself to get an unterminated harness to make things easier. However, that does not solve the question of where to put the ECU itself.
The interior of the car (Challenger) is out so now's the time to hash this out. Currently, I'm looking at the flat area under the driver's side cowl to mount the box but it's a not great location since with the dash in place it might be a PITA to access if needed. Also looking at putting it under the seat but then there are a bunch of wires to hide under the carpet and it's much farther away from the engine compartment.
To be clear, the Sniper ECU is mounted in the throttle body itself. Because of that design, it is susceptible to EMI/RFI which can cause problems. The Terminator X ECU is a completely separate box which essentially eliminates any electronic interference. It's just a bit more of a pain to wire.
Any ideas and hopefully pics. of how you've mounted a Holley ECU in your E body are appreciated.
Thanks!
