I have always thought that Chrysler were a bit more realistic or even humble about their HP ratings then Chevrolet were. Take the 1970 LT1 350 engine fitted to the Z28 Camaro and Corvette for example it was rated at 360 HP in the Z28 and 370 HP in the vette that is only 5 HP less then the 440 4bbl and 80 HP more then the 340 6bbl yet when these cars go head to head the poor old Chev is no match for the Mopars. Even these days you see GM cars with supposedly over 300 KW LS motors having a real hard time from an old muscle car with a lot less power then that. I owned a 1989 Nissan Skyline GT/R for a while back in 2003 it was completely standard factory rated at 206 KW and had no trouble humiliating brand new 300+ KW LS cars I would gently ease it of the mark then floor it and watch them get smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror.
