My grandfather owned a 70 t/a challenger that he bought new but had to let go in '71 because he was going into the army and he wants to know if its still out there somewhere. The only thing he has left is the window sticker, registration and owners Manuel
The vin is: JH23-JOB-297648

PM “Alaskan TA” He runs the TA/AAR registry. Good luck Buddy!

All T/A's were built at the Hamtramck plant. If Barry sees your post, he will respond if he knows that the car still exists.

Welcome to FEBO from New Jersey
And good luck with the search for your Grandfather's TA.
As everyone has suggested; Barry Washington is the go-to guy with this!

Pretty neat. I'm a long time T/A owner (first one in 1979) and have owned 5 of them. I founded the Challenger T/A registry. My 4th T/A was out of NJ. (Chandler Dodge in Linden NJ). Many have survived. I checked my list from the early nineties. I had 297658 but not 48. It could have been registered with SIAC, the big Challenger/Cuda club in the eighties. Also, as others have suggested, Barry has a recent list of the T/As he has been tracking. I'll check the SIAC list when I get home.

SIAC has 297647, almost. No record for 48. Check with Barry. He may have something. Good luck
