I have a stated value 25k policy with Haggerty, around 250 per year. Whatever you do, make sure you get a stated value policy for your car to guarantee the insurer will pay out what the stated value of the car is.

State Farm @$155/6mos
That seems like that policy is too inexpensive for the awesome car you have. Is this a stated value policy? I would think your car is worth at least 100K. I would hate to see you get in a bad accident and find out State Farm will only pay a fraction of that.

Its actually less than 100K. I'm a 40 year plus SF Home/Car insurer, no claims policy. They supposedly will pay value or replace it (to my liking).

I was making a wild guess on the value, It is worth a bunch for sure! A little more than my 71 Barracuda coupe. I have heard of horror stories about insurance companies really undervaluing collector cars. Rod

I also have State Farm , Hagerty wanted about $1000 a year for $100,000 car
Do any of them allow you to keep the wreck if written off.
In Australia Shannon's is around $1200 Australian for $100,000 & if written off you get the cash + the wreck.
If stolen you get the cash & get to make first offer on the vehicle if found at a later date

Now that we're settled in Colorado, we pay $687.00 a year to Hagerty. This includes $35.00 for their Hagerty Plus (emergency roadside service). The premium buys sufficient coverage for one $25,000.00 show car and $55,000.00 for the Challenger - my other show ride. If age has anything to do with it, I am a crispy 64 years with zero moving violations for the last 34 years.

To add a twist to all this and the reason I mentioned "show cars" is this; Inquire with any insurance, that covers classic rides, the maximum mileage allowed per year. You might be surprise by their set standards. Not even enough for an "Oil Change". *shakes head*

Oh I don't worry, because they never ask from year to year. LOL! Insurance = Strange Industry

They just simply take the money and run!!!

$393.00 for $45,000 stated value policy at American Collectors Insurance. Got this company through USAA where I have my Dodge Caravan insured. They knocked off about $75 a year when I got an Historical plate for the car ( which also saved me beaucoup money on the plate; from $28 a year to $20 total for ten years !). If you are a veteran you should check out USAA for all your insurance needs. Saved money on my house as well.

I know insurance veries from state to state but I think some of you are using the wrong terminology for your policy. I have an AGREED policy on my Roadrunner with American collectors for an agreed amount. A STATED policy is what you can get at State Farm that can be restated by the carrier after some sort of loss at least in Arizona. Say you total the car somehow and the adjuster looks her over and says you have a stated policy for 60k but the restoration is 10 years old and you ran some miles up on it so we will compansate you 50k. I did have an accident with my Valiant which American handled very well
