The first question: is this intake manifold a factory aftermarket option for a 340? I have only seen the cast iron intakes. Is the manifold worth keeping? I was looking for a manifold with more openings for temperature sending units. The second question: The nipple on the passenger side of the tank, is that a vent? This a non Calif car. I don't see any vents else where. Can I cap it? Thanks.

that could be a vent ; gas tanks need to be vented i think 1970 had a vented gas cap later had vent line running to the engine compartment
