K MEMBER STEERING BOX HOLES / POWER STE

Oh brother, was mounting up steering box the 2 bolts on the right ran in no problem. Went to go tighten the 1 on the left side and ran into much resistance more than half way down. I didnt want to use an inpact and make things worse. Looks like the threaded hole in k member could be jacked up a bit. Can you just use a tap? or is it more complicated ? thinking about building up some washers and lock tight it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Use a tap to straighten the threads. There is a lock washer that goes on each one. No short cuts on steering, brakes and suspension. Exhaust Well that's a personal preference.
