Hello All,

When I bought my 71 Barracuda, the seller gave me a decklid he had intended on adding a wing with. I am one of those luggage rack wierdos...

Soon I must repair a rusted out panel behind the door, have paint blended over the top to cover treated rust spots (no I can absolutely not afford a full paint job), and I'll have the decklid painted B7 to match the car.

Does anyone see any pitfalls with this decklid? What luggage rack would I want? I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews already. it's a driver in driver condition. Thanks -E.

Well I mean you have the gills and are going for the Cuda look, whereas mine is more of an original touring driver style, as if I were going for gran coupe.

For sure going for the Cuda look. I love all the trim that goes with the Cuda, so it is a no-brainer for me. The gilled fenders are stock 71's with the gills welded in, was done many years ago before you could buy repro fenders. I really like your wheel choice on your Barracuda. Below is my 71 Cuda I had in high school back in the early eighties, car is long gone.

Yea man, the guy I bought it from put these Torquethrusts on there. At first, I didn't like em, but they have grown on me and now I love em!

Yep, love the torque thrusts. Here is a pic of my 69 383-s I had for 25 years and sold to build my 71.

My Cuda came with a luggage rack, after a paint job and my brother throwing away the luggage rack, I recently found one complete in perfect condition in B5 color. it will seek some value if the vehicle originally came with it. The option of my concept for my car is to swap deck lids since I like a clean look with spoiler and then a luggage rack appeal on another occasion that came originally with my B-5 Cuda. My compliments to you.

My 70' Charger was a factory luggage rack car. I have it on a different deck lid now from what is currently on the car. Never a fan. I know B and E body racks are different though.
