Hello e-buddies.....trying to find a rebuild kit for my master cylinder.....73 challenger with factory front disc brakes. Can anyone tell me if this is an original master cylinder. If so, parts catalogue says I need a number 3744 423 rebuild kit. Anybody know where I can find one?
Thanks

I don't think that's an original master cylinder? Does it have 3461187 on the bottom, like this?

No. See above picture. That's a picture of the bottom of my master cylinder. Says "Z 04 L".

Not an original master cylinder then, I'd suggest this one available from Bill Rolik-
Master Cylinder 71-74 B-Body/E-Body, 5 BRAKES - SERVICE, 3461176 - N.O.S., Reproduction, and Replacement Chrysler Parts

Note 3461176 is the Chrysler Part #, 3461187 is the corresponding casting number that would appear on the bottom of the master as in my picture.
Hello again......this tag was hanging off my brake booster or master cylinder. Bore is in good shape so I'd like to rebuild. Can not find this part number in the 73 parts catalogue. Possibly a replacement from a later year?

That's the part number for your brake booster, which checks out. But not for your master cylinder. I would think the master cylinder you have is an aftermarket unit.
