Hey Guys,
I need your help please. I've got a 1969 440 out of a Dodge car, not an HP, that was pulled from a car a few year back. Engine ran great, very strong, well maintained ever since and been in plastic. Engine has great compression still.

In addition, I have an all original date correct 1970 440 Six Pack Setup. The intake is cast iron, dated late July of 1969, has original air cleaner even with the receipt from when it was purchased from a Dodge dealer here in Colorado. The receipt shows it was purchased from the dealer in 1980, but it was bought as NOS it appears. It's pretty cool though that it was from a well known dealer here in Denver, and it would be going to another gentlemen here in Denver. The listing numbers of the carbs are all correct to 1970, and the center carb even lists out to a 1970 HP Motor that was a 4 Speed car...so pretty damn rare.

A guy in town here wants to purchase both the engine and the six pack setup from me. The issue is while I'm not super close to this guy he has always been very nice to me, let me borrow is car trailer once, and has a close relationship with my engine builder...whom I throw a lot of work to. I'm trying to understand what would be a FAIR price for these two items. I know on Ebay I could get quite a bit for the six pack setup, and most likely somewhere between $750 - $1000, if not more, for the date correct and complete 1969 440.

I haven't been to any swap meets in a while, but feel you guys might be able to steer me in the right direction. Can you guys give me an idea of what I should ask for these two items? Please see pics below. Thank you very much!

a new 6 pack will run you $2500
A good running 440 has to be worth $1000 , building one will run you closer to 5k
2500 is a steal IMO

This 6 pack is not new and is in virtually unknown condition as is the engine. With all due respect to the owner, hearsay is a very difficult thing to pay big money for. There are people that look for a good running engine that doesn't need to be rebuilt that they can just install and go and I think a thousand bucks is a good fair price for the unit as explained. I still think $2,500 is a good and fair price for this group of parts. That's what I would offer if I were in the market and I've bought and sold a lot of parts over the last bunch of years and keep a constant eye on the market here in the Detroit area.
