Needing some 727 help

I have a 74 Cuda and just put in a stroked 440-528cuin engine and 727 tranny. The problem is the tranny looks like it’s short for the cross member (not far enough back). The thing is this is the same motor and tranny that lived together in a 71 fury. Are there different big block 727 trannys configurations???

Not when installed in a car. But the trans used in some vans were different lengths. If it truly was in a Fury, it should work. Did you actually measure the trans and mount yet or still guessing ?
