Hey guys,

I'm having my 3 speed manual trans rebuilt for my 318 and want to do the clutch at the same time. I have noticed it slipping when i get on the gas. I will by building the motor at a later date and dont want to have to buy yet another clutch. I was looking at the RAM powergrip and was wondering if anyone has any luck with them. The motor build will probably be a stroke to 390 and with a cam and head work. nothing to over the top looking for 350-400hp. let me know your recomendactions. also not looking to drop a ton of money but want good quality.

thanks

Why not go with a four speed if you like to shift. Better acceleration and less load on the clutch because of the tighter gear ratios between 1st and 4th. Also getting 350-400 HP from a 1970 318 engine will require more than a few bucks. What is your budget on the trans rebuild and clutch replacement ?

Never used a Ram
I use McLeod exclusively , the same 130 tooth flywheel will accept both the 10.5" & the 10.95" more surface area = more grip so get the larger one
