Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a Ford. But I thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing it. Since my Mopars are all long term projects to say the least I still want my cake and eat, too, by having something antique to tool around in.

'54 Ford Crestline sedan, original 239 OHV V8, three on the tree with OD. Still positive ground but converted to 12V.

We've got an old '90 Fifth Ave that we're parting out that's gonna donate it's interior.

Conversion to disk brakes, electric wipers, and some small items to replace and she's ready to go through NYS safety inspection and be a daily driver.

I had this car on the road back in '03. Got 23 miles to the gallon with it combined driving.

It is a fun car to drive, guys. And a fun car to be seen tooling around in.

Manual everything. Steering, brakes (gonna keep it that way, too, even with the disks), choke, trans. With that big ol' steering wheel you'd be hard pressed to think it was manual steering. Rides like a kitten, purrs like one, too.

When I drove it last I happened to come up to an intersection in town where the Pride Ride was coming through. The Pride Ride is an area motorcycle ride of about two hundreds miles in a big loop, sponsoring Toys for Tots. In order to participate you have to have one new unwrapped toy. Anyway, as I was sitting there, with the cop directing traffic, I'm watching the bikes and watching the bystanders watching the bikes, when I notice a guy telling every he's with to look over at the Ford. Next thing I know, there's about thirty people ignoring all those motorcycles and looking at the car. :dontknow:
