Just purchased my 1st Mopar ! Have done ground ups on a Ford and GM, so it was time!
This 1970 Barracuda sort of found me (long story). Has 35K original miles, totally unmolested
I am 3rd owner. Previous guy bought it in July 1971 with 15K on it, put another 20K on it by 1988. Has been off the road since 1988. Weirdly (?) optioned, scooped hood,J45 hood pins,C16 console/buckets,N85 tach, D21 4 spd., 318 2bbl.! No rust, original paint, interior, etc.
Opinions on value?? I paid a bucket load for it! (Maybe not,LOL), Found the broadcast sheet today!

Not sure of plans yet. I'll get in running and enjoy this summer, then decide.

You asked about values; Hagerty's Estimates

Current Values
  • #1 Concours $51,700
Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best vehicle, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concours. Perfectly clean, the vehicle has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 vehicles is "concours."
  • #2 Excellent $42,500
  • #2 vehicles could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 vehicles that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and finishes will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine. The vehicle will drive as a new vehicle of its era would. The one word description for #2 vehicles is "excellent."
  • #3 Good $27,400
  • #3 vehicles could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 vehicle, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior where applicable. #3 vehicles drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These vehicles are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description of a #3 vehicle.
  • #4 Fair $21.4

  • -30% for 6-cyl. +10% for 4-spd. +10% for Gran Coupe. Colors can make an astonishing difference in both value and salability.
Three top grades above with descriptions.
Yours is special with the originality, low miles and the options the car came with. Your car is one of 705 Barracuda 318 cars with a 4 sp.
Hope this gives you an idea.

Great, Thanks for the research! I didn't think there would be too many 318/ 4 spd. Thx again!
