no spark ebay electronic ign upgrade!

as usual no good deed goes unpunished. building 71 bb and ordered the new harness for electronic ign. power to ballast, coil and get no spark i took the ground from coil and hooked the ground side to the old points dist ground. spin by hand and get great spark anyone can help trouble shoot?

Also, check plug connectors for continuity (ECU and distributor) Rare but some do fail.

Check the air gap between the reluctor & pick up , it needs to be .008

And get a set of non-magnetic, brass feeler gauges to check/reset the gap.
This is because the magnet in the distributor is the permanent type and standard feeler gauges will stick to the magnet.

Was at the Fall Fling! what a blast! I'm gonna check it all out this weekend, the gentleman that sold it to me is a wealth of knowledge as well, Cant wait to drop the clutch and go sideways down the street! Thank the 3 of you for your advice and tech tips!
