I believe I am getting oil on my clutch. there is thick oil on the inside of bell housing, some oil on front splines of tranny, small trace on crank side of flywheel, small trace on both sides of pressure plate. when clutch is slipped a little the smell is really stinky. can't tell if oil is coming from engine or trans.

Sounds like time to check the sending unit. But probably need to pull the transmission. The rear main and input sleeve seal should be replaced IMO if you pull it. Inspect the plugs on the back of the block. Good luck to you Lee.
