Original or repop?

I am touching a lot of parts on my car while tinkering around and sometimes i am wondering if its original or repop.

Have two pairs of front light bezels. One seems to be new the other one is way older. None of them show any numbers on it.
Are both repops?

There came two front grilles with my car as well.
One assembled the other one came in a box.
Again i cant find any numbers on them - both are from aluminum.
Where do i have to look for numbers on those parts?
Unfortunatelly no pictures right now - the car is not next to my house.


Last question is about the correct wood grain color for all the interior parts.

Everything seems to be old(er) stuff but has different colors. I know its hard to see on a picture but the gauge dash bezel has a much more lighter brown while the left part for the knobs is way more dark.
The wood grain inlays on my door trims are like redish wood color and also seem to be old stuff.
Centre console inlay has "red wood" as well.
With bare eyes you can see all the color diffences on the first look but its hard to tell on the pics.
So what is correct now?

The switch panel in your dash is a 73 or 74. (Pictograms didn't come until late 73). The gauge surround woodgrain piece is 70-71.

Any pictures of the new grille?

None of these parts had numbers on them from the factory. The numbers were on the boxes that the parts were shipped in.

I thought there where numbers on every Chrysler part.
I will try to make some pics of the boxed grille tomorrow, but i think it looks too pristine to be original.

Another part would be that Hurst pistol grip.
No numbers again besides on the plate.

Do you know if its possible to change only the insert for a 70s one or does it interfere with the possibly 73 switch panel?

There would be no problems swapping a 70 switch panel or plate.

The bolt-on pistol grip came out in 71 (I think). Hurst just stamped 4 digit numbers on their stuff. You probably have a Competition Plus shifter.

The headlight bezel on the left is correct as for the paint lines. The one on the right has been painted or powder coated without being masked off properly. Can't really tell if it is a re-pop or original but I have had both and while the re-popped ones I had, looked good, they did not fit as well as the originals.

@sixpactogo i cant really tell if one of the two bezels fits better than the other.
I think both are good.
I think the right one could be the original one and was badly painted at one point - Like you say.
But i am not sure, i was hoping for a way to identify those properly.

I made some pictures of the second grille today. Not sure but it appears too new to me to be original.

I hope i made at least one usefull photo.

That grille looks original and has been re-painted (incorrectly) once.

This one was a little beat up, but you can see the front edge and inner ridge were left unpainted.

I think that explaines the older incorrect painted light bezels too. It seems someone wanted to get the grille a darker look back then.

Were the not painted aluminum parts left untouched or did they get polished from factory?

The main outer section and bezels were anodized with a process called Brite-Dip. It's shiny, hard and does not require polishing.
