Where is vin stamp on trans?

It’s a 71 383 4 spd.

The A833 4-spd numbers are on the machined pad on the drivers side.

Perfect! Thanks so much. Are they generally this sloppily done? My 2 is nearly off the pad. How do you read the rest of the stamp?
