PPG code for 1970 EB5 "Bright Blue Metallic

Does anyone know the PPG paint code for 1970 EB5 "Bright Blue Metallic"? It will be for base and clear application

If you ask them to hold 2 of the 4 drops of black, it lightens it just a lil and the silver metallic really stands out. Ask for different swatches.
B5 had darker colors after 70 I think.

This is the paint mixing code for 1971 B5 DAR 2306 Acrylic Enamel. I mixed paint in the 70's I do recall the 70 B5 blue was lighter. I don't have a micro fiche. need a little time to find. I don't have it the base coat formula. maybe this will help.

Here is the clear coat formula for 2304 and 2306. if I recall the 71 blue had more poly not sure if it had less blue. I think 1970 was 2305 or 2019 still looking. the micro film is old and degrading.

Mixed paint in the 70's. I thougt there was more aluminum poly in the mix .it made it lighter in color.this is all I could find.

People not in the auto body trade . Don’t understand that a paint code is just a code to let you know what color you are looking at. You must have a formal for that color, New paint has a different formula . New components and paint company’s don’t keep old Formulas,So you have to get something that is close to the color you want .In the new components . Because today they’re using pearls and metallic’s not just metallic for paint. So to match a color for a spot job is a little harder than ,Just a complete paint job. PPG was the paint supplier for Chrysler and Dodge in the 1970 . A good paint supplier can do a good match and a good painter can do a good job!

I will have to look at the label on my paint can. It has the formula on the can from when we painted my car.
