Question about code on fender tag

I recently bought a 1973 Challenger and decoded the fender tag but was not able to find out the 1st line 2nd code of Y84 any one have any idea of what that is. Thanks

That's a sales code, NCS-dealer pre-service. NCS is new car service.

Ok thanks. I guess the next question is why would a car get dealer pre serviced. I would think all new cars got a pre service before being sold?

I was a dealership sales manager for many years. If a customer ordered a vehicle and wanted it delivered to another location I would put in the build order to do a pre-delivery inspection (PDI). The dealership loses a little revenue doing so. There is a huge liability if the vehicle is not PDI'd before the customer takes delivery.
