It seems that a lot of rare cars are coming out of the woodwork these days.
Owners I think are coming to the realization that they will never restore these cars or it is now too expensive to do so.
Check this out: 71 Challenger vert, w factory shaker, copy of original sticker with a 383 automatic. Plum with white top and interior. Numbers match but very rusty.
I think it is expensive at 34.9k, but hey, you never know!

Michigan car, that explains the rust but that's quite a rare car, 1 of 126!
I wonder if it's on Ola's registry

As I read the ad details, the owner apparently has an extra very clean 71 Challenger shell car he is selling for extra dollars. It could become a situation where all the shaker car parts and numbers end up on the clean shell.

Just to put this in perspective, ebay currently also has a 71 Challenger 340 convertible w a factory shaker all done up in very clean condition.
Dealer asking 75k. Car is already pretty much done and clean.
fk5aar is right on, the 35 k car would cost more to restore then what you could already buy one for finished.
Could probably negotiate this one down to 70k or less!

If I was rich I would do the purple car though, just because it is a great combo.

It needs to be saved. My guess is that this is his first try and the price will slowly come down over time until somebody that really wants it finds it priced fairly.

Exactly, and I'm sure the yellow car has a perfect or readable fender tag and the purple car has a very small piece of it and an old picture. Id get the yellow one all day. But I agree the purple car has better colors ( i have a 71gtx fc7/pxW that I am waiting to restore and I can't wait)

There are 33 people watching the car and he is open to offers. Should be interesting to see if he accepts an offer. It definately is worth saving.
He also has the 2nd convertible shell car. Could that also be a resto candidate?
