rear seat removal

I have a 1973 challenger and need to remove both upper and lower
sections of the rear seat. I have managed to get the upper section
loose, but cannot remove it w/o 1st getting out the lower unit.
My father (an old mopar guy) said to just push baack on the lower
unit and then pull up. This does not work. I am hesitant to force
it. What is the right way?

the old mopar guy is right,try 1 side at a time.Push down and back and it should unhook then come up

Works on most older cars. Bottom first, then the top. Don't worry about breaking something, it is supposed to be tight.
