Soon, I will be pulling my trans from my Chall R/T Conv 383 4-speed for a rebuild and, while it's out, I want to replace the clutch. Car is street driven only and is completely stock right down to the ignition points. Suggestions?

McLeod is my first choice , if you have 10.5 " then 10.95" will bolt up & work better
Ram is another opttion , I prefer 3 finger Borg & Beck type , the cars were never designed for Diaphragm type

Wow! Thank you! I installed a Centerforce diaphragm style clutch in my last car. The decreased clutch load on the pedal required the removal of the over center spring (which was a challenge). It worked well after that. That being said, I would rather keep things as the car was designed and proceed with your recommendation. Thanks so much!

Destruction of the disc , pedal would stay on the floor on fast shifts & refuse to re-engage , the weights sticking / jamming in the fingers
