I am working on a 1970 R/T. The former owner replaced the dashpanel, but he didn´t finish the dashboard. There is a lot of work and some unanswerded questions left behind. The car has a remote controlled mirror on the passenger side. The cable and adjustment unit are just hanging under the dashboard. I can´t find any pictures where it should be installed, where the correct place for that unit is. Maybe on the left side of the steering column, there is a hole that could be the place, but I am not sure at all.
Does anybody know or has a picture that shows where to install that remote unit?
Thank you all.
Greetings from the german Motor City.

I agree with the others its a 1975 or later mirror from a Cordoba or Daytona Charger. The shape is very similar or may be the same as a 71-74 E body, but not a 70 they were a one year only mirror. I have never heard of or seen a factory remote passenger mirror on any 70-74 E bodys. I have heard that some A body passenger mirror heads are the same as 70 E body but the base has to be changed to a 70 E body. Thats the total of my mirror knowledge other than they are handy when your backing up.

After reading all the answers to my question I took a closer look to the mirror, you are absolutely right. The mirror has not exactely the same shape than the other one and also looks a bit newer.
I have to learn a lot more about the car, thanks to all of you.

Just a FYI that the passenger side mirror on a 70 does not look like the driver side.
The pass side looks narower and has a point to it.
