When I turn the steering wheel I hear a squeak like the bearings are dry. I know there is a bearing in the top of the column. What is the best way to lubricate that bearing short of disassembling the column?
Two things: where the horn contact touched the copper plate under the steering wheel was dry, so I put a VERY light coat of dielectric grease on the copper contact area. Second was the steering wheel was not tightened like it should have been. All nice and quiet now!Did you resolve your problem? If so what did you find?
