Hey guys,

New to having an e body and working on older cars...so looking for some input.

74 challenger, 360 motor and a 904 auto tranny.

Under heavy acceleration the steering wheel shakes quite a bit...normal driving it isn’t a problem/noticeable. Pitman Arm is being replaced as there is excessive wear...

Any thoughts?

You said the pitman arm had a lot of wear, what about the rest of the front end parts? Ball joints, tie rod ends, all the bushings, idler arm, and steering box need to be checked out if they have not already. If those check out, then look to the alignment.

Better get the wheely bars installed soon then lol.

Thanks for the input, I’ll check out the rest of the front end steering components.
