Does anyone have a stock 440 oil pan for my 71 challenger? Numbers don't matter, just need a stock one. I have a chrome one if someone wants to trade. I like the painted look rather than chrome.

I was talking to someone yesterday too and they said the chrome ones don't seal as good as the stock ones, has anyone had that problem?

That may be because some of the aftermarket oil pans that are made overseas are made of a lighter gauge steel than the factory. This allows them to warp and leak. Also stay away from cork pan gaskets, they are guaranteed to leak. The best gaskets available now are rubber with steel reinforcements. These can be used over and over and you cannot overtighten them.

I ended up buying a stock oil pan. Didn't want to take any chances. I love those rubber gaskets, they are a life saver when it comes to sealing good.
