Rebuilding the front first. Getting my LCA's and T bars from Firmfeel, they are powder coated black. What should I do with the rest?

Just wondering

Lca,s were dipped in some preservative, not black. T-bars are springs and had some sort of flexible, black, coating. (new T-bars often come bare and can be sprayed with rattle can under coating).

If not going with a full factory restoration, just make sure everything is protected with a quality paint.
I really like Hot Rod Flatz urethane 201, and chassis black. They are very tough, uv resistant, easy to spray. 1 quart will go a long way... Front suspension, rear axle housing, core support black out, K frame, dash frame, steering column, etc...

The grill was painted with 201. I also used this for my tail panel black out, core support and many other little parts.

The window trim was sprayed with chassis black.

LCA's were natural steel and dipped in cosmoline up to just about the large pin that holds the lower ball joint. About 90% of all E-body production were treated this way, the remaining 10% (estimated) were painted semi-gloss black. The proper cosmoline product if you are interested is available here: Restorations by Rick Kreuziger
K-member is semi-gloss black. Torsion bars were dipped in about 80% gloss black. UCA's, spindles, caliper mounts, calipers, tie rods & ends, center link, strut rods, ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm are all natural finish. The majority of the front suspension hardware is phosphate plated. Brake rotor dust shields for 1970 were 40% gloss black. These are the correct finishes as would have been on your car from "Day 1" at the assembly line. Not everyone wants to go this route - I'm just letting you know what is factory correct and you can take it any direction you want. Many more details on this in my restoration thread. Good luck with your project!
