Hey guys, I have two AAR Cudas and neither one has its original jack. I have collected a few over the years and am trying to figure out the correct jack to put back in the cars. My question is the lenghts of the mast. Can I get some of you guys with your known original jacks to measure the lenghts of the mast? It should be between 33 1/2 to 34 5/8. If someone with a 70 Challenger jack could measure theirs as well, it would really help me out. No one seems to no this information and has it listed on a website of any kind. I know there are some variables to this questions. Thanks for the help.

The original jack mast in my T/A is Yellow Zinc Dichromate and is 34 5/8" (book says 34 3/4" which is close.) Hope this helps...

I think he was just looking for length of each *T post/year/car* to get a big sample, then he can assign his extra posts to a model/year. GradyCain's ICCA post is the most written I've seen, but doesn't call out T/A and differs a little from what other mopar stalwarts are saying they have.

I realize that. This way he can see what they look like since he has several. I collected several over the years and by length did not know which was which.

Yes, guys. Thanks for all the help on this. Grady's post really helps. That book looks pretty detailed he has. Most of my jacks are t post but I do have some tube jacks. I have never seen a t post with a 71 date code on it. Most of mine are 69 and 70 or no dates at all. I think that is more common than I thought. Lots of C bodies had tube jacks and according to my findings, C bodies are the same length as E. What does your book list on C bodies Grady? Could you post a picture of that second page. It tells about how to id different t jacks. The only problem I have with what he list on that chart is on the Charger jacks. I have three of them and they are all 36" long not the 33.5 that he list. Tony D has the same info on Charger jacks.

Sorry the one you are most interested in is blurry. I will go to my shop tomorrow and take a better photo. As for C body specs, there are some listed for the lug wrenches but none for the jack mast. I only have books for E and B body cars.

Thank you very much. This is a lot of good info. That second page has lots of info on it so a better picture will help.

I will definitely get a better photo of that page and post it tomorrow. Also please remember, this information is not the absolute word. These books provide information based on documentation of known original cars and assembly line photos. I have discovered several discrepancies, contradictions and errors within the pages of these books. Bottom line is as always with Mopar, take it for what it's worth as there are always exceptions...

Exceptions and contradictions are the norm for sure. They had many venders for all parts and each of them had slight variations. Thanks for the postings.
