This is a 1966 MG he just wants it repaired so he can sale it,Some one had it repaired and painted .The job was good but the car sat outside in hot weather for a few years .Know that being said , Body filler should be only about 1/4 in. Thick at most, The only thing that’s better is body solder or lead , but that takes practice and good prepared metal . Not saying that you can’t do it . Practice on junkyard stuff not your pride and joy!

If the "job was good" like you said, it could sit out 100 years and still be good.
That looks like "Gypsy" parking lot body work.
The body work is very straight but it was done with body filler, steel panels expand and contracts as you know and to much body filler my not you can’t make a fender or 1/4 panel out of a gallon of filler and except it to last,So get you panels as straight as you can and use as little filler as possible!

Can I measure body filler in centimeters? :)
Sure as 1/4 is the limit, but being in the body trade for 35 years, when I first started doing body work body filler was the wonder product pull it out so so mud it up and go make a fender in a can! But as I got in the trade , I got educated on the methods for better metal finishing, don’t get me wrong I’m just letting you know that body filler has it limitations, when it comes to long life . Of body repair.
