Hey guys after years of working on one of my Challengers its finally a driver and a nice one at that. When I first bought one of them it was a 318 2bbl auto ac car. Now fast forward 30 years and its a nice 340 XV motorsports resto mod. I don't weigh 185lbs any more. I know that they make make seat track set back brackets. I was wondering if any of these cars came with tilt on the steering columns? I had to cut the existing one and put a bearing in the end of it and weld a different end to adapt to the Rack and pinion. I just dont recall ever seeing an ebody with tilt? Even my RT 383 car doesn't have it. I'm sure one of you guys knows the answer. I know it would be easier to just throw a gm column in cus it already has AAW harness that would plug right into it but I try with the exception of the suspension am trying to keep the eo look and feel to the interior.

Never ever 67 -70 A or B. or any year E-body. Some adapt later Cordoba columns. Other wise Flaming River.
Yup that’s what I thought. thank you myself and many others appreciate all you Mopar masters for quick accurate info!

I've had a few 69 and 70 Chrysler 300's. if they were a floor shift auto they had tilt and telescopic columns, but they are all likely too long for an E body
My 86 W350 4x4 has a tilt column with a column shift auto, and you could get a tilt column with a 4 speed trans in the same years

I adapted a 30" hotrod column into my 73 Cuda, the only real challenging part is that takes a bit to adapt a stock crush can.

I'll bet the housing and shaft could be cut and trimed probably a lot like i had to do to put that shi*** XV MOTORSPORTS k member and suspension in?

The 80s pick up trucks use the same heads as Ebody. The head unit can be converted to be used on an E column.

I didn't know that I'll have to look into that, as I have an extra ebody floor shift column, and a spare tilt column for my snowplow truck, might make an interesting project.
