I’m in need of some advice on a wheel and tire combo for a 1973 Barracuda.

Keystone Classics. 15x7 front with 3.75” BS, 15x8 rear with 3.88” BS.

Not ideal backspace but it’s Keystones have on offset/backspace per wheel size so we’re stuck with what they give us.

I would like to run a 235/60 front and 275/60 rear. Anyone have wheels in those backspacing? What is the general consensus?

Definitely no problem on the front. And shouldn't be an issue on the rear either. Just take a measurement on both sides of the distance between the wheel mounting surface (hub) and leaf springs. Usually they very close, but I've seen them a half inch different sometimes! Quality control wasn't very good back then unfortunately. Would suck to have one tire clear the leaf springs and one rub or close to rubbing!

I'm not sure what my backspacing is but I've got 275 60R15 on the rear and 235s on the front. I love the look but I'm going to go down to 255s in the rear when I put new tires on it this spring. A little shorter tire should help performance out with my setup. The 275's fit fine but the passenger side is too close to the fender for comfort. Probably not a problem, but when I run my hand between tire and inner fender it's a squeeze and it makes me uncomfortable.

I was more worried about the wheel lip than the leaf spring. I’m not real familiar with e-body wheel fitments. I’m an A-body guy and have 15x8 rallyes with 255’s and 4.5” BS.
These Keystone wheels are close to 0 offset. I hear e-bodies like that.
If they rub a little on the rear we can always put longer wheel studs on and run the appropriate billet spacer.

Actually, I’m going to decide on a 255 rear after consideration of the camshaft (~230 @.050) and rear gear (3.23). It already needs more gear and adding a taller 275/60 won’t help.
