71 barracuda 318 automatic, shift on the steering column. Does anyone have pictures or diagram of the correct way these parts all go together? Got the new plastic bushings, and installed. Having trouble finding out where the other 3 go correctly.

Looks like you have pieces from the column lock and kickdown linkages and need to put it all together. Best bet is to purchase or download a service manual if you don't have one. Pic of column lock linkage attached, and a link showing all of the kickdown linkage pieces-

Does that long piece with the nut attach to the steering column? Plus there are 2 levers on transmission, small linkage, and??

Yes, the long piece with the nut attached to the steering column. Correct, there are two linkages on the transmission. The bigger lower one is the gear shift linkage (has a bigger hole). And the smaller upper is the throttle kickdown linkage (has a smaller hole).

I always thought by 71 the column lockout linkage was gone, was your car built early in the model year?

I believe September 70. Thanks for the help, just been a long time since I tore it down. The good think was had it all organized, and bagged and marked.
