Usability of used brake drums?

There's a brake rebuilder/reseller in CO that wants to buy my backing plates, e-brake struts, levers, and the bolts that mount the wheel cylinder to the backing plate. He doesn't want the outer drums because he only sells new drums, not used. How do I determine if my drums have enough meat on them in order to sell to a guy locally?

They usually have a min/max diameter spec cast on the drum

Okay, so the outside of the drum says it's a max of 256.29mm before the drums are trashed. Both of my drums measure 254mm. I don't know what they start with so I don't know if this is a lot of meat or not. I offered them to a local guy building a Duster project (he's upgrading to the big bolt pattern) for $50 for the two of them, including the old shoes, wheel cylinders and springs. He seems happy with it, but I want to make sure I'm not screwing him either. Can you guys weigh-in on whether this is a fair deal?

No problem as long as your measurements are correct. 254mm is like new (10.00") 256.29 is 10.090".

Cool, thanks guys. I delivered them to him for $50. He ended up having another set of backing plates that work for all of the remaining drum brake parts and shoes that weren't taken by the brake rebuilder. He's wondering if he can use the E-brake lever and cross strut from his 10" x 1-3/4" drum brakes. Are they the same parts?
